    Meridian Marine Industries inc. began the deck replacement project on the inter-coastal ferry MV Powell River Queen.

    We began by cutting and removing sections of the existing deck structure and replacing with newly fabricated deck panels.

    Our employees and staff are working 7 days per week to ensure this project is delivered on time, to suit the busy summer ferry schedule, all work will be completed  to the satisfaction of Lloyds and Transport Canada’s attending surveyors requirements.

  • October 15,2007
    Meridian Marine Industries Inc. began preparation to install steel braces to 2 container cranes in Vanterm's Pier 4. These container cranes will be shipped to Equador and the 24 steel braces installed on each crane will provide the support and stability needed during the voyage to South America.

    Meridian Marine Industries was awarded the project by Deas Pacific Marine to fabricate and install the engine room escape hatch for the Queen of Burnaby.


  • March 19, 2007
    New Barge Repair Project Started (NA 194). The scope of the project is to remove and replace all damaged box walls port and startboard.


  • March 12, 2007
    The assembled sections of the stern notch lifted into position.


  • December 18, 2006
    The fabricated sections of the aft end modification have been delivered to the site for assembly.


  • October 23, 2006
  • Work has started in Meridian Marine's workshop to fabricate sections required for the construction of the "Stern Notch Modification" of the Fairbanks.

    On January 1, 2007, Meridian Marine Industries Inc. will be opening its Houston operations as part of its strategic plan for globalization. The Houston branch (Meridian Marine Houston Inc.) will be providing sound technical services to Marine and Offshore clients in the Gulf coast area of the United States. According to the company President James McFadden, "we have been planning this expansion for the past few years and this is now finally a reality, we are all excited about the expansion and look forward to working with new and existing customers".
    The company will provide the same technical services as our parent company Meridian Marine Industries Inc. does in Canada and around the world. We will integrate our ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System to the Houston operations as required by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance to insure our value "Quality, Reliability, Service Excellence" is adhered to.
